WORSHIP AND MUSIC MINISTRY

Even before completing my Masters Degree in Church Music and Conducting at Southwestern Theological Seminary in 1972, I believed strongly that scripture is very clear: "God inhabits the praises of His people" (Psalm 69:30; Psalm 138:1). As Associate Pastor of Worship at West Bradenton Baptist Church for twenty two years, it is my mission to continue to lead our various musical ensembles in music that is pleasing to Him. Our Father is our audience and truly knowing Him and growing the hearts of our people towards Him is our ultimate goal. We are committed to teaching our congregation- by example- the importance of worshipping the Father "in spirit and truth" through music (John 4:23). By blending the great traditions of choral music with today's contemporary sounds, I am excited about guiding the next generation of worship leaders as they perfect the musical calling God has placed in their hearts. If God has placed on your heart a desire to worship Him in song, please do not hesitate to jump in and join with us in joyfully praising him.
