A  "BIG THANKS" to all the parents and children who participated in music this year. We had a great time learning to love music and ended with a terrific performance by the children! Great job you guys. See you in a couple of months.

WORSHIP ARTS ACADEMY

 

    The programs that make up our Worship Arts Academy provide children from pre-school through high school the opportunity to learn about God's word and praise Him through musical expression.  This part of our ministry is divided into age appropriate segments each designed to enhance the musical experience of your child.

FOR THE PARENTS: While your child is enjoying music and dance, we have Disciple Life classes that meet weekly at 6pm on Sundays. Check 'em out on our calendar.

 

 

 

PreK-1st grade

   For children ages pre-school through first grade: this segment introduces them to the joy of singing praises to God.  Teaching fundamental musical skills children also are exposed to a variety of musical instruments. Meets in Room 117A on Sundays 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

2nd-5th grade

This class- the next step in you child's development- encompasses more advanced musical skills including rhythms and matching pitches with others.  It includes additional exposure to instruments and encourages children to sing as part of a group in harmony while learning about God's love for them and others.  It is for children from 2nd to 5th grade. Meets in Room 118A on Sundays 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

heartworks- violin instruction

 

    This is a fabulous opportunity for your child to begin musical instruction through our Worship Arts Academy. We are blessed to present Pam Green who will begin the next session of Violin Instruction for K-2 through Grade 5 at the church March 15, 2010. She has taught music and strings -as well as being a Reading Specialist- in our Manatee County School System. All children will learn note reading in a quasi-Suzuki Approach.

Special Note: Home schoolers will be offered classes beginning at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Wednesdays.
